Inter Milan are threatening Arsenal hopes to land Velez Sarsfield midfielder Ricky Alvarez.
Inter have reportedly intercepted those negotiations with an offer of 9.25m, including performance-related bonuses.
It is suggested Alvarez would also favour Serie A over the Gunners.
"I did meet with two Inter emissaries and we need to see each other again soon, but I think there could be what's required to complete the deal," declared Velez President Fernando Raffaini.
"Alvarez to Inter is certainly possible."
