Inter Milan striker Milito delighted with playing comeback

Inter Milan striker Diego Milito says his playing return is close.

The striker played with the senior squad in a training ground friendly that lasted 70 minutes this morning, finding the net in a 2-2 draw.

"The worst is behind me now and my comeback is now very close," he told Inter Channel.

El Principe underwent knee ligament surgery in February and can't wait to get back on a Serie A pitch.

"Scoring a goal was a wonderful sensation and brought me real joy. I am getting more and more minutes of playing time under my belt, so that's the important thing.

"I had a lot of chances today and made many mistakes, but I think what's more important is that I was in the thick of the action and created several scoring opportunities.

"It was not easy to go seven months without playing. Now I'm close to my return, though sharpness and match fitness will be gradual."
