Inter Milan striker Dzeko: Thrashing Hellas Verona ideal warm up for Champions League semi

Inter Milan striker Edin Dzeko says their 6-0 win at Hellas Verona was proof of their quality.

Dzeko struck twice, though missed a hat-trick.

“Obviously I missed it (scoring), but I have already scored my most important goals, it's not that I suffer when I don't score," said the veteran.

“For sure it's important for a striker, but I don't look at stats. The important thing is to go to the Champions League final, qualify for the Champions League with Inter and win the Coppa Italia."

On facing AC Milan in the Champions League semifinal, Dzeko continued: “Milan are a strong team, they are not in the semi-finals of the Champions League by accident. But we believe in ourselves, we know we have many strong players.

“Maybe every now and then we lose awareness, and we lose games that we cannot lose, but we must never look back. Today is an important win, the next ones will be even more so."
