Inter Milan striker Dzeko delighted with victory over Bologna

Inter Milan striker Edin Dzeko was delighted with his goal in victory over Bologna.

Dzeko struck early in the 6-1 triumph.

He later said, “I got the ball, I wanted to give it immediately to Denzel (Dumfries) in behind.

“I made a run into the area, I was expecting a bit better cross, I tried for it and it worked out.

“Each game has its own story," Dzeko continued, “when you play every three days it's important to reset your mind immediately and forget about the last match.

“We're not happy with the match in Turin but we have to look forward, today we won and played well.

“We still have one more to play before the break, we're always looking forward and never backwards."

Of some of the Nerazzurri's early season struggles, Dzeko also stated, “Maybe right now we're not doing ourselves justice, in Turin we could have won, but we lost because of mistakes that we made.

“We didn't expect to be eleven points behind Napoli at this stage, but the past few months things never seem to go our way, even look at the first goal by Bologna.

“Maybe it's partly a problem with mentality, not one of quality, the head matters a lot and always makes the difference."
