Inter Milan are set to pass on buying outright Cedric Soares.

The Southampton fullback joined Inter on-loan in January to the end of this season and he hasn't let anyone down when called upon.

However, the €11m needed to transform the deal into a permanent transfer is too rich for Inter.

Gazzetta dello Sport says the Nerazzurri are prepared to send Soares back to Southampton unless the fee can be renegotiated.

For his part, Inter coach Luciano Spalletti is happy having Soares as an option.
