Inter Milan are willing to offer a massive £50 million for Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas.
The People says the Italians' move for Fabregas has prompted speculation in Milan that Inter president Moratti will allow Dutch midfielder Wesley Sneijder - wanted by Manchester United - to quit the San Siro to fund their bid for the World Cup-winning Spaniard.
And it has also sparked Barcelona into action, with the Catalan giants readying themselves to make their own opening bid for the Gunners star this week.
The European champions believe Arsenal, who have slapped a £54m price-tag on their skipper, would be willing to do business for around £37m.
The player has returned to London after a holiday in the United States and will now ask for a meeting with manager Arsene Wenger to discuss his future.
