Inter Milan have expressed interest in Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.
The Mirror says United have told Inter boss Antonio Conte they want striker Lautaro Martinez before Pogba is allowed to move to the San Siro.
Conte has now become the favourite to sign the unsettled Frenchman, ahead of Pogba's former club Juventus and Real Madrid.
Pogba has given the green light to rejoin Conte, who was his manager during his time with Juventus.
He would rather return to Italy than move to Spain and the prospect of playing under former Chelsea boss Conte excites him.
Despite Old Trafford boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's claims that he wants the controversial midfielder to stay, it's believed there is now a growing feeling within the club that it's best for everyone if Pogba leaves.
That might not happen until the summer but that hasn't stopped Inter Milan accelerating their interest to try and get the transfer over the line this month.
