Inter Milan remain keen on Manchester United fullback Matteo Darmian.

The Manchester Evening News says Inter will pass on their option to sign Southampton full-back Cedric Soares on a permanent deal and make an €11 million move for Darmian instead, according to reports.

Darmian has made just six appearances for United this season, the last of which came with a one-minute cameo in the Reds' win against Brighton in January.

Darmian's current deal at United runs until June 2020.

The 29-year-old admitted in December that he has missed life in Italy since moving to Old Trafford from Torino in 2015.
