Italy coach Cesare Prandelli is under consideration for Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti. Claudio Ranieri is on borrowed time at Inter after a dismal few months for the Nerazzurri.
Sportmediaset says among the usual suspects is Prandelli, who is tied to the Italy job until 2014. Moratti is impressed by the way he's rejuvenated Italy's veterans - and can see the former Fiorentina boss doing the same with Inter's ageing squad.
Prandelli also knows Andrea Ranocchia and Giampaolo Pazzini (above) and his candidacy is gaining momentum within Moratti's close circle.
A swap has been mooted, with Claudio Ranieri taking charge of Italy's World Cup campaign as Prandelli takes the Inter post after the Euros this summer.
