Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has sought to end the feud with former coach Gian Piero Gasperini.
Gasperini is angry with the way his time at Inter has been portrayed by Moratti and fellow directors.
"No one has said he was the main culprit," Moratti argued. "Absolutely not. It was a negative spell with three months of preparation that went badly so everything started off badly.
"It might have worked but instead it went badly. It's not a fault - but in football there is blame and there is merit. It was an unfortunate situation."
