Inter Milan haven't given up their interest in Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud.
Former Blues coach Antonio Conte is in the market for another striker signing next month and is pushing Inter chiefs to bring Giroud to Italy.
Indeed, L'Equipe says talks have been underway for some time and personal terms are close to being struck.
It'll now be up to Chelsea to keep Giroud's valuation at a reasonable price for Inter, which do have alternatives lined up should the valuation prove too rich.
Just Friday, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard said of the veteran centre-forward: “I am happy for him (Giroud) to stay, as with every player in the squad I want them to be here for Chelsea, have the right professionalism and right desire to be here.
"He has shown me that in his training every day this season. That's what I am happy with."
