Inter Milan No2 Farris pleased with goalscorers for victory over Empoli

Inter Milan assistant coach Massimiliano Farris was delighted with their 2-0 win against Empoli.

Farris was stepping in for the suspended Simone Inzaghi.

Danilo D'Ambrosio and Federico Dimarco struck for Inter in the 2-0 win and Farris sad: “Empoli are a good side, we did well to force them to work harder by passing the ball around quickly.

“D'Ambrosio and Dimarco are added value to this squad and bring more than you'd expect. It's a pity Lautaro Martinez didn't score today, but he's saving his goals for other games.

"We made a few changes, everyone showed they were ready when called upon, as everyone has to work together as a team."

Inter went with Alexis Sanchez ahead of Edin Dzeko in attack and Farris added: "It's true that his characteristics are fairly unique within the team, but Joaquin Correa could do something similar if called upon. Alexis has that creativity, that moment of magic, you just need to see the assist for D'Ambrosio's goal."
