Inter Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari was in England last night for talks with Sunderland.
Muntari flew into the North East last night - after the Black Cats were given permission to talk to the midfielder by Inter Milan, says The Journal.
The Ghana international jetted into Newcastle Airport to hold talks over a possible move to the Stadium of Light.
He is expected to sign for six months on loan with a view to a permanent transfer in the summer, and was left out of Inter's squad for last night's Coppa Italia quarter-final against Napoli.
