Inter Milan midfielder Calhanoglu: Juventus penalty most important of career

Inter Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu says his matchwinning penalty against Juventus was the most important of his career.

Sunday's 1-0 win saw Inter further cut AC Milan's lead at the top of the table.

Calhanoglu told Sportmediaset: "Yes (it was the most important), because it was very heavy at that moment. We wanted to win the game, then I missed the first ... but on the second I was sure, because I was confident. I scored and I was very happy, because it was a heavy moment. However, the most important is the final victory.

"I know that this match is worth a lot to our fans. I knew that Inter hadn't won at the Stadium for 10 years.

"I always want to give my best for the team. I knew from the beginning that it would not be easy to replace (Christian) Eriksen. With him and the others they won the Scudetto, but even we new ones are strong, with quality and we want to win with Inter... I don't look at the statistics, but I'm happy."
