Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic was delighted with their 3-1 win against Champions League opponents Sheriff.

Brozovic, Milan Skriniar and Alexis Sanchez struck the goals for Inter.

“Now we control our own destiny. The only thing that mattered today was winning, we played really well, attacked and did not allow any counter-attacks," Brozovic told Sky Italia.

It was still goalless at the break, despite numerous chances and Lautaro Martinez rattling the woodwork.

“The coach said a few things, we needed to move the ball quicker and then we'd 100 per cent score a goal."
