Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte is seeking a January reunion with Chelsea fullback Marcos Alonso.
Gazzetta.it says Conte has made his former player a priority as as the Serie A leaders look to strengthen before the title race heats up.
Conte is looking for a ball-carrier who can aid the transition between defence and attack, and the former Fiorentina man fits the bill.
Furthermore, Conte has identified the full-back as a set-piece specialist. Inter did not score a single direct free-kick during the 2017-18 campaign, meanwhile Alonso scored 14 goals and four free-kicks during Conte's Chelsea tenure.
