Inter Milan coach Roberto Mancini is chasing Manchester City defender Matija Nastasic.

The Mirror says Mancini wants to strengthen his defence and is keen on a loan deal for Nastasic in January.

Inter have moved quickly to deny Nemanja Vidic is leaving the club but Mancini still wants to strengthen his defence.

Serbian defender Nastasic, 21, has struggled with injuries and also faces new competition for places at City.

Inter would prefer Nastasic if he is available on loan because Mancini knows him from his time at City.
