Inter Milan legend Marco Materazzi would be happy to miss Europa League qualification.
Inter's Champions League hopes appear to be over after defeat to Atalanta.
"The Inter squad at present is not worth the Champions League," the 2006 World Cup winner told Gazzetta TV.
"The Europa League? The Champions League is the European competition that helps you to build a team because of the level of income it provides.
"Speaking as a fan and a former player, I'll say that it is better to start rebuilding the side, perhaps without the Europa League.
"That is because Inter, this term, are paying the price for starting pre-season early because of their European commitments."
