Inter Milan have jumped into the battle for Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani.

After agreeing a new one-year deal, Cavani has struggled with injuries this term and looks set to depart when his contract expires in June.

La Gazzetta dello Sport says Inter have joined the chase for the South American.

They acknowledge that the veteran has plenty of interest from elsewhere in LaLiga too.

But Inter are looking to bring in both an experienced forward as well as a younger talent to bolster their attack.

They want a physical presence in a similar style to Edin Dzeko - but are looking to do a deal without a transfer fee involved.
