Manchester United fullback Ashley Young is on the radar of Inter Milan.

The Mirror says Young can negotiate a pre-contract agreement from January 1 with clubs outside England as he is in the final six months of his deal.

United are talking with Young, 33, in the hope of tying the former England international down on a 12-month extension when his deal expires in the summer.

But the Old Trafford club had hoped to secure Young before the turn of the year.

Milan have now joined fellow Serie A side Roma in watching developments closely after Jose Mourinho was sacked as boss.
