Inter Milan intensify interest in Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko

Inter Milan are ready to intensify their interest in Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.

The Mirror says Bakayoko feared his days at the San Siro were numbered when AC snubbed the chance to turn his season-long loan from Chelsea into a £35million permanent deal.

But former Stamford Bridge boss Antonio Conte is about to replace Luciano Spalletti as Inter manager, and he wants a reunion with the 24-year-old French international.

Inter general manager Beppe Marotta has an 'excellent' relationship with Bakayoko's Italian representative Federico Pastorello, and the pair are already in talks over a move that would see the central midfielder tabling his talents back in Serie A again next term.

Marotta and Pastorello are negotiating a deal that would see Inter pay Chelsea £5million to take Bakayoko on loan for a year with an option to buy for £30million next summer.
