Inter Milan insist their relationship with Manchester United remains strong amid claims of a missed payment for Romelu Lukaku's transfer fee.
It's suggested an outstanding bonus of €1.9m was not paid by an agreed deadline by Inter, which saw the remainder of the fee owed due in one lump sum.
However, La Repubblica reports after the lockdown, the two clubs renegotiated the timing of the payments, with a deadline updated to July 2021.
And Inter have already paid what was due last January. The Nerazzurri management, despite the crisis that's hit majority shareholders Suning Holdings, is in fact committed to respecting the payment deadlines for players' transfers.
And when there is an opportunity to do so, the idea is to pay as soon as possible.
"Relations between Inter and Manchester United are good," insisted a local source.
