Inter Milan are in talks with Leicester City this morning over a loan deal for Islam Slimani.

Inter are turning to the Algeria international after being informed that Chelsea were removing Olivier Giroud from their transfer list.

Slimani is currently on-loan with AS Monaco, but both parties are willing to break the agreement before tonight's transfer deadline.

Inter have an edge on rivals Manchester United in the battle for Slimani as Leicester are reluctant to strengthen a direct top four rival.

The Nerazzurri are seeking a straight loan to the end of the season.
