Inter Milan great Zenga insists Handanovic should stay

Inter Milan great Walter Zenga insists Samir Handanovic remains as strong as ever.

Handanovic will turn 38 next season.

But Zenga says: "It's expected in football that when one has been at a club for a long time they get criticized for everything, while it is automatically assumed that the grass is greener with new players.

“Handanovic has made his mistakes, but in this position it happens to everyone and he remains a great example for the squad.

“And he has the broad shoulders to carry the team.

“Over the years he's gained experience and positioning, but he's lost a bit in terms of reflexes and reactions.

“It is therefore normal that Inter have started planning for the future with the signing of Onana on a free transfer.

“We'll see if Samir renews and how Andre will settle into our league,"
