Inter Milan great Materazzi only looking forward with Chennaiyin FC

Chennaiyin FC player-coach Marco Materazzi only has sights set on the club's upcoming Indian Super League fixtures.

Materazzi's side have drawn their past four matches to sit second on the ISL table with 13 points from eight matches but despite being unable to produce any victories recently, the Italian defender is remaining confident leading into their final six outings.

"It's not ideal but this happens in football," Materazzi said.

"In a couple of those games we should have won three points, but there was one game also where we scored late to earn a point.

"There is no point looking back now. We have six more finals in the league stage starting tomorrow."

Chennai host Pune City FC on Wednesday in a second versus fourth match-up but Materazzi was not bowing away from the magnitude of the contest.

The Inter Milan great said: "Pressure is part of life. So we are not bothered by it. We will try to play our best and get maximum points."
