Inter Milan great, former Leicester star Cambiasso fears for English clubs in Europe

Esteban Cambiasso has admitted his concern regarding English sides performing poorly in the Champions League.

The Argentine midfielder was a part of the Olympiakos team that upset Arsenal 3-2 at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night and after experiencing Premier League football last season with Leicester City, can see why English clubs have been faltering in European competition of late.

"There will be a lot of attacks on the English teams because they have not won games but you have to remember the Premier League is probably the hardest league," the Inter Milan legend said.

"That has an effect.

"The English teams do not arrive rested and relaxed when they come and play in Champions League games.

"When you have a competition of such a high level at home, it changes things. They are not arriving at their games in Europe in the best possible way because of that."
