The Danish midfielder's move from Tottenham was confirmed on Tuesday.
Ferri told TMW: "Who should make room for Eriksen in Inter's XI? They have gone to buy a quality and flexible player, he can play in multiple roles. He doesn't let the coach spend sleepless nights to find him the role.
"(Coach Antonio) Conte and the club already knows where to place him. Inter's technical level rises as well and it's nice to hear this possibility of changing the midfield. It means that it is growing from the point of view of quality and quantity.
"Conte is a fundamentalist and I don't think he will depart from his system. The results prove him right and rightly so. He can play as a left or right side, alongside (Marcelo) Brozovic and (Nicolo) Barella. He can be crucial on set-pieces and in terms of assists. He can take the team by the hand and make them take the leap."
