Inter Milan GM Beppe Marotta has played down talk of a move for Barcelona star Lionel Messi.
Messi is being linked with the Nerazzurri this week.
But Marotta says, “No Italian club can complete a transfer operation like that without the owners making a big contribution, so with Financial Fair Play regulations as they are, we have to be sustainable.
“We need to get Serie A back to being the league where champions arrive and don't leave. The debate is all about TV rights, but we also need to evaluate what we're selling and star names do increase the value of the brand."
