Inter Milan GM Beppe Marotta says they're trying to secure Marcelo Brozovic to a new deal.

Off contract in June, Brozovic has been linked with Manchester United and Tottenham this past week as negotiations drag on.

Marotta said, "With (director Piero) Ausilio we are working on renewals, this is a group that deserves total reconfirmation but clearly there are different deadlines to respect.

"These are the dynamics of our work, we are facing it in a calm way because we have to be focused on the season.

"On the part of the players, however, there is great attachment, both those on expiry and those who deserve financial recognition for what has been demonstrated."
