Inter Milan expect a decision from Real Madrid on Saturday about Luka Modric.
Inter have already struck personal terms with the Croatia international and tabled an offer to Real.
The Nerazzurri are willing to cough up big for a 12 month loan with the option to sign Modric permanently next June. For his part, Modric is keen to see the deal happen.
La Repubblica says Real are expected to deliver their response on Saturday.
It's suggested they will seek news from Lazio about the availability of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic before agreeing to let Modric leave.
