Inter Milan director Beppe Marotta says nothing has been settled on Mauro Icardi's playing return.
The striker hasn't featured since being stripped of the captaincy.
Marotta said: “We don't know when Icardi will return, you in the media seem to know more than us. We're waiting for him and I have nothing more to add to what has already been said. We're hopeful he can return as soon as possible, when he recovers from this pain in his knee.
“My work is to get to know this club in depth, but I wasn't worried when I took the job and I am not worried now. We must all give the right motivation to get back to the glories of the past.
“The club is first and foremost. For example, there's a club in Copenhagen that has written on its badge: 'Nothing above the club.' We must go forward with that same motto in our minds."
