Manchester United are planning to use the funds from the Romelu Lukaku sale to bring in Harry Maguire.
United and Inter Milan have been in negotiations regarding the striker throughout the summer but are yet to agree on a fee, says the Daily Mail.
United are expected to hold talks in London with Inter Milan director Piero Ausilio on Thursday regarding a proposed deal for Lukaku.
The Belgian striker underlined his desire to leave during a meeting with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at United's hotel in Perth on Monday, but Inter have so far failed to meet United's £75m valuation.
