Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar says the players are determined to make up for last season's title defeat.
Inter lost the Scudetto on the final day of the season to AC Milan.
Skriniar recalled to DAZN: "There was a lot of disappointment, but we immediately said to ourselves: 'Guys, we won two cups, we hope it will give us more determination for the preseason and try to win the Scudetto next year'.
"There is a lot of criticism, people say we have to win because we have a strong team, that we don't have to play, that we play badly ... We don't want to listen to them because they only make us lose energy. Last year we lost the derby by dominating it for 70 minutes, then we also made a mistake against Sassuolo, even that could have been decisive ... I don't want to look at it like that.
"Milan were also very good because the last five games were very, very difficult, but they won them and did very well."
On coach Simone Inzaghi, he added: "He is as if he were one of us. He talks to us, jokes with us, but when there is a heavier word to say, he says it. I would say that he is a more balanced coach, he also knows how to have fun with us, but also when there is something wrong to say it. At that moment he has his say."
