Inter Milan coach Luciano Spalletti admits he's disappointed with Lautaro Martinez.

His father made an offensive comment on Twitter just before the Champions League defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

Later deleted, it read: 'Sooner or later your luck will run out' along with an insulting term, referencing the lack of playing time.

“When there are these statements, if they are real, they must be examined and discussed. I only know Lautaro, I've never met his family.

“The important thing he needs to realise is that his father in attempting to attack me is in reality attacking Inter and creating problems for Lautaro himself, because it ends up damaging his image and the way he engages with his teammates.

“In order to become a strong player, you have to know how to look after yourself, but also those around you. Big clubs on the European stage are often wary of avoiding embarrassing situations like this.

“The lad doesn't need anyone to come and defend him. He's a man, not a child. It's all good, I've been doing this job for a few years and don't put too much emphasis on them, but ultimately you need to talk about it as a group."
