Inter Milan coach Luciano Spalletti says Lautaro Martinez deserved to start ahead of Mauro Icardi for their 0-0 draw with Udinese.
Both players were on the pitch together for a short time.
Spalletti said: “We have a certain balance that needs to be maintained and in fact Udinese started to threaten more once we had two strikers on.
“I would've expected more from Keita and Antonio Candreva, who came on in the final 10 minutes when opposition legs were tired, but didn't create many difficulties.
“I threw on three attacking players to finish the game and there was nothing more I could've done in the circumstances. We played the game we needed to, Udinese prepared to defend and counter, but we did have the chances to score."
