Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho is ready to take a pay-cut to satisfy the Italian media.

Journalists are still bristling over Mourinho's boast that he earns '14 million Euros' in salary at Inter.

"For the good of everyone I would even be prepared to cut my wages," Mourinho told TG5 when asked about the financial meltdown.

The Portuguese tactician also commented on the way he has been received by the Italian media.

"There has been a lack of respect in the way they talk about me, but I must adapt. I can be 100 per cent certain I will not change, Italian football won't change me and Italian society won't change me.

"The last thing I want to do is change something. I have no intention of doing so."
