Inter Milan coach Roberto Mancini is confident they can mount a successful Champions League challenge this season.

"It's a very special task to win the Champions League, but we are going out to win it," he insisted. "There are lots of big clubs with strong squads, but we are clear that our objective is to be there at the end.

"Last year against Valencia we went out after two draws and two extraordinary games, but this time we know that you can't have any bad nights in this competition.

"You have to keep your concentration at all times, especially during the knockout stages, but if we stay free of injuries to key men such as Patrick Vieira we can do it."
