Inter Milan coach Inzaghi happy after tough Monaco test

Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi was happy with their 2-2 draw against AS Monaco on Saturday.

Inter fought back from 2-0 down thanks to goals from Roberto Gagliardini and Kristjan Asllani.

“I'm very satisfied with what I saw, we knew the difficulties we would encounter today," said Inzaghi.

“They were in better condition than us physically, these matches help us grow.

“We went behind due to two errors but we stayed united despite these difficulties."

“We had some problems at the back," the coach added. “D'Ambrosio had some knocks and sacrificed himself for the team, as did Darmian and Dimarco.

“At the moment it's difficult to give tactical assessments," he concluded, “we're still only a few days into preseason. Monaco are a strong team, we played to win and we very well could have."
