Inter Milan coach Inzaghi hails Calhanoglu for Crotone rout

Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi was delighted with their 6-0 rout of Crotone.

Hakan Calhanoglu was outstanding on the day.

“I'm happy today because the lads were excellent but they've have been impeccable in training for three weeks now," the coach began as he spoke to Inter TV after the final whistle.

“It's a shame about the injury problems [Danilo] D'Ambrosio and [Roberto] Gagliardini picked up yesterday but I'm very pleased with the work we've done so far."

Calhanoglu was the star of the show, notching up three assists and a goal to boot – and Inzaghi was quick to acknowledge the Turk's contribution and work rate.

“That's why we signed him. He's been training really well too and he was excellent today – they all were. We dealt with our opponents well and played some good football."

The boss also had a few words of praise for Martin Satriano, who scored yet another pre-season goal.

“He's an interesting young player who works hard. He's earning his playing time with his performances on the training ground."
