Inter Milan vice-president Javier Zanetti would welcome Samuel Eto'o back to Serie A.
The Everton striker is in talks with Sampdoria.
"He did some extraordinary things with us, and now he wants to come back to Italy," said Zanetti.
"His return in Serie A would be most welcome."
