Inter Milan chief Beppe Marotta has defended underfire coach Luciano Spalletti.

Inter fans are upset after their Europa League elimination by Eintracht Frankfurt.

Marotta told Calciomercato.com: “The coach has nothing to do with [our problems].

“Problems arise objectively, regardless of who the coach is. Spalletti is doing his job in the best way possible. We must reach this important objective with him."

He also stated: "We're very bitter about our elimination from the Europa League. It hurts us."
