Inter Milan centre-forward Romelu Lukaku has declared himself among the best five strikers in the world.
Lukaku has scored 12 goals so far this season and established himself as the most important player in Inter coach Antonio Conte's plans.
He told France Football via AS: "I am among the five best strikers in the world.
"From a tactical point of view, in terms of positioning and movements, I am never wrong. I am one of the five best strikers in the world.
"If (Lionel) Messi, (Robert) Lewandowski and Cristiano Ronaldo have exceeded their limits, why can't I do it too?"
Lukaku also said that he has grown a lot in the last year and a half thanks to Conte, although he also points out that he has progressed thanks to the advice he has received from close friends like Thierry Henry and Didier Drogba. Drogba was still with Chelsea when Lukaku was first signed by the Blues from Anderlecht.
Since leaving Manchester United last year for Inter, Lukaku has scored 46 goals in 64 appearances for the Nerazzurri. This season, the Belgium international boasts 12 goals in 13 games. With United, Lukaku has scored 42 goals in 96 games.
The 27 year-old striker has a contract with Inter to 2024.
