Inter Milan captain Javier Zanetti has jumped to the defence of coach Rafa Benitez.

The former Liverpool manager is under huge pressure with Inter's title defence faltering.

When asked to explain Inter's problems, Zanetti defended Benitez.

He said: "It's because of the injuries. Rafa has always had to work in an emergency. He can't work miracles. He needs time."
