Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez was delighted with their 2-0 Champions League win against AC Milan.

Inter won the first-leg thanks to goals from Edin Dzeko and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Lautaro said: "For me it's a beautiful thing. For me, for my family and for all the work behind it. With or without the armband I try to help my teammates in any way and today was a beautiful derby. Now let's think about the championship and the Milan derby return.

"I compliment my team-mates because we took the field in the way we prepared and those two goals ahead in the first 12 minutes made us manage the match in the right way. It's an important advantage, now we have to finish the job.

"Now we have to think about Sassuolo which will be difficult and then think about the second leg which will be a match similar to this one."
