Inter Milan captain Mauro Icardi was pleased with their 2-1 win over Fiorentina.
Icardi opened the scoring from the spot.
“I don't know if we're becoming more mature, but we are working to improve," the captain told Sky Sport Italia.
“We allowed Fiorentina too much space and risked on a few counter-attacks. We have the players to score goals, but we all need to improve when it comes to defending as a team."
This was Icardi's first Serie A goal of the season, having already found the net in the Champions League.
“Social media and those in the press talk too much. I didn't score for four Serie A games and they start stirring up trouble, but I have 120 Serie A goals behind me, so I'm not worried."
