Inter Milan captain Samir Handanovic says they deserved to be beaten by Eintracht Frankfurt.
Inter are out of the Europa League after Luka Jovic's winner last night for Eintracht Frankfurt.
“The opening goal compromised many things we were meant to do. We lacked quality and character. It's simple, really," Handanovic told Sky Sport Italia.
“Eintracht were leaving us spaces to play in, but we lacked sharpness, both physical and mental. We knew they played open football, so our goal could've changed everything.
“It's work pointing out we were in an emergency situation with very few players available and those who did play weren't match fit. They put the effort in and that's admirable, but we needed to do more."
