Inter Milan boss Mancini confident working with limited transfer budget

New Inter Milan coach Roberto Mancini is unconcerned over their limited transfer budget.

Mancini replaced the sacked Walter Mazzarri yesterday.

"When someone starts playing football as a kid for fun, he always wants to win. That is within all of us. We don't just want to take part," said Mancini.

"I don't know what will happen. I need to get to know the squad first. It's not so easy to sign players in January to immediately strengthen a squad, as he either has to be a world class star or he's likely to take time to settle. We need to see what is needed and what we can do with the current team.

"This is a wonderful challenge for me and one of the many reasons I accepted, as this is a young team and we can grow together. I think if we work well, have the same objectives and enthusiasm, then we can build a team that is young and strong for years to come.

"It is also very important for me that the team plays good football."
