Inter Milan have named Walter Mazzarri as new coach following the dismissal of Andrea Stramaccioni. Inter announced the change late, last night on their website.

"I am very sorry for Stramaccioni," said President Massimo Moratti.

"I chose Mazzarri and I hope he will be the best option."

The statement thanked Stramaccioni for his work and professionalism "in a particularly difficult year."
