Inter Milan have welcomed Gian Piero Gasperini as new coach.
The former Genoa boss has been handed a two-year deal with Inter.
"I am very happy," he told SportItalia.
Due to red tape, the former Genoa Coach will not physically sign the contract yet, but the decision has been made and declared on the official Inter website.
"Gian Piero Gasperini will be the new Coach of Inter," read the statement.
"President Massimo Moratti, who is currently outside of Italy, confirms he is 'fully satisfied with the decision.'
"Along with the whole club he wishes Gasperini 'all the success that has brought Inter to the title of World Champion.'
"The official announcement will arrive once the final red tape has been cleared and, at that moment, we will also confirm the date of his presentation to the media.
"Gasperini, aged 53, will sign a two-year contract and work with the staff already at the club plus two new collaborators, assistant Bruno Caneo and fitness coach Luca Trucchi."
