It was the striker's first goal of the season.
"It was like a weight off my shoulders. I feel free," Insigne told Sky Sport Italia.
"In the first half I missed a sitter, as on top of being unlucky to hit the post, I didn't kick it properly. I apologise to the team, but in the second half I think that I gave them a big hand.
"We really needed this victory. The fans are always close. We make mistakes on the field, but we always try to bring them on to our side.
"I am happy to have broken that deadlock and hope to score more goals to help the team to victory.
"I dedicate the goal to my wife, who is expecting another child."
